Wealth Log Book and Wealth Log Book Automation collect no personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. The apps have no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. This website only counts how many times each app is downloaded, without storing anything about you.
We collect nothing. Wealth Log Book has no backend, no user accounts, and no network requests of any kind.
The financial data you enter (net worth items, income, expenses, goals, emergency fund entries) is written to CSV files stored entirely on your device in the folder you choose.
On iOS, data is stored in a folder you select via the system Files picker. You have full control over where that folder lives — on your device or in iCloud Drive — and can move, back up, or delete the files at any time.
On macOS, Windows, and Linux, data is stored in any folder you choose on your local filesystem.
App preferences (your chosen folder location, accent colour, currency setting) are stored in your device's local app preferences (NSUserDefaults on Apple platforms, SharedPreferences on Android). These are never transmitted anywhere.
The app makes no network requests. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no ad networks, and no external API calls bundled in the app.
The only network activity that may occur is the loading of fonts from Google Fonts at first launch (via the google_fonts Flutter package). After the first launch, fonts are cached locally and no further requests are made.
wealthlogbook.com sets no cookies and loads no tracking or analytics scripts.
Download counts. When you click a download button, the website adds one to a count for that file and month (for example "Windows installer, October 2026: one more") and then starts the download. The totals are shown on the home page. Nothing else is stored: not your IP address, browser or location. Like any website, our host (Netlify) may keep its own short-lived server logs, including IP addresses.
Wealth Log Book Automation is a separate, optional desktop app. It connects only to your own mailbox, over IMAP and read-only, to download the statement files you choose (emails aren't marked as read or changed).
Outlook and Microsoft 365 mailboxes sign in on Microsoft's own page (Microsoft no longer accepts passwords from mail apps). You approve read access to your mail there; the app never sees your Microsoft password. To keep you signed in, the app talks only to Microsoft's sign-in service, when you sign in and each time it reads your mailbox. You can remove the app's access at any time in your Microsoft account.
Your mailbox password (or Microsoft sign-in) and statement file passwords are stored in your operating system's keyring, never in plain files. Statements, the database it builds and its settings stay in a folder on your computer.
Nothing is sent to the developer, and nothing goes anywhere else except as described on this page. The app has no analytics, no licence check and no AI service built in: if you use an AI chatbot to create a plugin, you copy and paste the text yourself.
The plugin library. Only when you ask (Find a plugin for a bank, or Check for updates), the app downloads the library's public list of plugins and the plugins you install, from this website (or directly from GitHub if the website can't be reached). These are plain downloads: nothing about you or your data is sent. Like any website, the host may log the IP address of the request. The app never does this in the background or when it starts.
Sharing a plugin (optional). Only when you press Share and then Send for review, the app sends that one plugin file and the details you typed (country, bank, statement type, and optionally your name, web page and GitHub username) to this website, which publishes it as a public pull request in the community plugins repository on GitHub. Before sending, the app checks the plugin for personal data and shows you exactly what will be sent. Never put personal data in a plugin: whatever is shared is public. Like any website, our host may log the IP address of the request.

Wealth Log Book does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.
